We are very excited to offer a brand-new range of unique, rhino themed, greeting cards. The photographs have been kindly donated by talented photographers Sarah Blake and Callum Davies, long running fans of our organisation. All the photos were taken of the black rhino at Folly Farm Zoo, Wales, including the latest addition to the breeding programme, male calf, Glyndwr born in January 2020. Sarah stated: "I Love the ethos of D4W in the way they have designed a practical solution to a massive problem which impacts many species of wildlife. We particularly love Sarah’s close up images of luscious rhino lips and prehistoric feet! Sarah continued: “I love to capture the spirit of an animal through my lens and I hope that people see that in the photographs and want to support this incredible charity.” Artist and wildlife lover, Leysa Henderson generously contacted us offering a painting to generate funds for conservation. We gratefully accepted, and were blown away when we received the watercolour. The painting shows a very colourful white rhino, a stark contrast to the grey animal we are used to seeing. The single rhino is particularly poignant as white rhinos usually live in groups known as a crash. Leysa explains: “The painting is named ‘Standing Alone’. Alone they will die, together they have hope. Wildlife shouldn’t be standing alone.” Leysa only started painting around four years ago and now sells her art to raise money for wildlife charities around the world. “This painting has been donated to Dogs4Wildlife: a charity that takes steps to protect rhinos from insatiable poachers. Thank you for all your hard work.” Leysa is also an author of children’s eco-adventure books the sale of each book generates more funds for other animal charities. If you love our new merchandise as much as we do you can purchase a pack via the online Shop. If you have a special talent or skill like Sarah, Callum and Leysa and would like to put it to good use by helping us to raise vital funding for our conservation canines, we would love to hear from you!
